“The three great mysteries: air to a bird, water to a fish, and mankind to himself.”

While in Kuala Lumpur, MD and I visited the Sri Maha Mariaumann Temple Dhevasthanam, a colourful temple tucked into a bustling street near Chinatown. The temple is the oldest Hindu temple in KL, built in 1873 and was actually a private family shrine for many years before it was opened to the public in the 1920s. The temple is filled with vibrant images of Hindu deities, and helpful practitioners eager to acquaint newcomers with their customs. Enjoy the pictures.
