“O-hachiman-sama”

During my time in Sendai, I visited the Ōsaki Hachimangū Shrine. This shrine was built in 1607 and dedicated to Hachiman, the Shinto god of war. The shrine’s presence in Sendai is believed to offer protection to the city. All of the pictures in this post are from the Shrine itself.
