“Life can be like a roller coaster with its ups and downs. What matters is whether you are keeping your eyes open or closed during the ride and who is next to you.”
Prater Park
My apartment is near the Wurstelprater, an amusement park in the city of Vienna, simply called Prater. It boasts the famous ferris wheel, the Riesenrad. NM, TN and I had some extra time between classes, so we took a walk through the Prater to enjoy the fall color and explore the park one afternoon. It’s an intriguing place – it offers a combination of Six-Flags-caliber rides with county-fair-level fun houses. Some of the themed rides in particular were on the cheesy side, though I wasn’t entirely sure how ironically to take the spinning sombreros ride, for instance. There was also inexplicably a North-American-football-themed fun house with some burly footballers. Enjoy the photos and draw your own conclusions.
